This recipe was inspired by a Vietnamese chicken recipe. Since we don’t eat meat, we decided to make it with tofu instead. It’s a very easy recipe and a good one to do for meat eaters that don’t want to try tofu!

Ingredients
- 1 block of firm or extra firm tofu (12 onces)
- 4 green onions
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Marinade
- 1/4 cup chopped lemongrass
- 2 teaspoons turmeric
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoon tamari sauce or 1 tablespoon kecap manis
- 4 tablespoons oil
- Sambal olek or other hot sauce (to taste)
Instructions
- Cut the tofu into cubes, add the green onions and garlic. Prepare the marinade and mix with the tofu. Marinate for 30minutes (or more). Cook in a plan until tofu is golden.
