Lemongrass Tofu

This recipe was inspired by a Vietnamese chicken recipe. Since we don’t eat meat, we decided to make it with tofu instead. It’s a very easy recipe and a good one to do for meat eaters that don’t want to try tofu!

Ingredients
  1. 1 block of firm or extra firm tofu (12 onces)
  2. 4 green onions
  3. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Marinade
  1. 1/4 cup chopped lemongrass
  2. 2 teaspoons turmeric
  3. 2 teaspoon sugar
  4. 1 1/2 tablespoon tamari sauce or 1 tablespoon kecap manis
  5. 4 tablespoons oil
  6. Sambal olek or other hot sauce (to taste)
Instructions
  1. Cut the tofu into cubes, add the green onions and garlic. Prepare the marinade and mix with the tofu. Marinate for 30minutes (or more). Cook in a plan until tofu is golden.
